N. Mill Street In 1730 John Tilden purchased the lot known as Lot 51. George Vickers acquired the property from his wife's parents, the Mansfields Sometime before 1860 they built their home on the lot. The Vicker's house was the most ambitious ant bellum house to be built in Kent County. The house and lot were sold to the County Commissioners in 1900. The house was torn down and replaced with the grammar school. |
